Looking for a simple, small handlebar type windscreen to break highway wind blast that anybody has found to complement (extend) the original short cyclone fairing.

When I first got my m2 there was generic clear windshield on it and they put the windscreen over the top. It worked but the fit was not clean so I took it off. I tried givi and they said sorry nothing. I think you can get one of the universals to work but your on your own.
I been looking too. The S3 setup is more and work you might as well buy an S3 - but others have done it.

I responded to someone else's post a while back on this. From my experience, either go big or none at all. Anything in the middle just creates more turbulence and buffeting.

I tried a Givi 210, 750, and now the 750 with a Puig sport clip on visor.

The visor seems to help with the buffeting but creates more air noise. I still feel beat up after an hour or so if above 60 mph.

Madstad will make a custom, adjustable one but I just cannot bring myself to spend $300+.
Givi AF49 is universal and has great reviews but again cannot bring myself to spend $300 (very, very close to ordering one of these).

Laminar lip has a money back guarantee so if you are just looking for a little relief, that might be worth checking out.

New helmet should be in soon so will be interested to see how that changes the noise and buffeting.

Check out the Palmer Products brackets to adapt a clear windscreen on top of the existing one.
There was one for sale here for a Uly, but looks like it could work.
I got the Laminar Lip and it moves the blast higher, but I still can't position it to my liking yet, buffets the helmet too much, still working on it.

Givi 660
Is mountable and adjustable
No mods needed but optional and cheaper than buying a S3

Went for ride worked great, no longer feel the wind trying to pull me off.

Would like to know how the laminar lip works out for you?

it works fine, but at 80 there is noise at least for me unless I point my head down to avoid the upstream.

Mhlunsford, did you have any problems mounting on the handlebars. Doesn't seem to be much space. Could you take a pic that shows how you mounted please?

Looks like it just fits. So are you liking it? And what's that thing to the left of your speedo? Thanks for the pics.

Here in Ncal it gets windy at night and it helps. At 80 you do have wind noise below 80 it is ok. I do notice the bike handles a little different when the blows as know the force is transferred to front of the bike in stead of me. There is probably an inch of adjustment up or down - I put it down. If you wanted more adjustment you could cut the shield. I would recommend getting some rubber bumpers for where the shield hits the stock windscreen. It is stable though - the two mounting points do a good hop. Not perfect looking but a compromise and a lot cheaper than s3. The motor is almost new X1 so hard for me to let it go. I will be at Buell rally in co if want to give it try.
The thing to the left of the speedo is a RAM mount for a Dakota gps - well built.
