Author Message   Buellster164 Posted on Sunday, May 03, 2015 - 07:02 pm:        Recently purchased a used 97 S1 and have been in the process of restoring it to its former glory. I have replaced the front mount/isolator with one from Al at American Sport Bike. But the bike has a mean vibration. I'm thinking my rear iso is the culprit after reading the numerous discussions on here about them. Al will have the newer larger style and that is what you want. You also want to use the newer style bolts. If you are going to do the job yourself then I would take Buellistic up on his offer. There are many ways to do this job and you want the latest methods. My S1 was the original test mule for the ATC method (which I have continued to use) but there are other methods that look simpler.   Roderick Posted on Sunday, May 03, 2015 - 09:59 pm:        Is that how a typical fail isolator would appear ? The new style isolator has ears/tabs on the bottom to keep the frame from dropping down too far in the event of a tear.
