Just chopped out my front isolator on my '99 X1. Did it once before years ago and I don't remember it being particularly difficult to replace. This time I can't get the bolt to line up properly. I have the rear on stands and a jack under the shock mount. No amount of jiggling seems to get it to line up. What's the secret? |

just a thought, but are you "fighting" either of the lower front tie-bar or the upper tie-bar? |

Not sure if this makes a difference but I put the jack right under the front engine case (with a wood puck) and never had an alignment issue. |

Kalali does it the same way I do. The engine is sagging a bit, that's all. gently lift the engine that tiny bit needed. |

Fixed. I was jiggling instead of jaggling. Loosened the bolts on the isolator which allowed it to drop into position. Thanks. |
