Hello to you all. I'm getting acquainted to my new to me 2000 M2 with 7000 miles on the bike. Just did a casket kit with a friend this weekend on it from the base of the jugs on up. Tomorrow will get title and plates done. And then let fun begin. Would like to say thanks to you all, because this site has helped me a lot already with all the info available on it and all the good people.

Welcome to the site. Lots of great people here, probably the best source for Buell related technical information on the planet.

Thank you for the welcome Kalali. She's no beauty queen but as long as she gets me home at night I'll be happy.

Check your belt tension. You should be able to easily push the belt down and touch the top of the swingarm. If you can't, it's too tight, and you'll eat bearings and snap belts. HD dealers are notorious for over tightening. They're used to sportsters that have max tension with no rider. Buell belts get tighter when you sit on the bike. Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks tight.

Thanks for the heads up on the belt Hootowl. Yes indeed I still need to go over the bike looking for all the little things that will go wrong that can go wrong. Like the head bolts on the rear cylinder head were very lose already when we went to change out the caskets.
