I was riding yesterday and when I hit the left turn signal all four were flashing.
Do I have a hazard light switch I don't know about?

If my X-1 is any indication, no hazard switch that I know of.

Power comes from the flasher to the left handlebar switch. The turn signal switch 'distributes' the power to left or right side, as commanded by the switch.

If you get both at once, either the switch is failing, or the wires from the switch to the l/r signal are shorting together somewhere. Most likely point would be where the harness passes the steering stem.

Quick check: At rest and with the engine running, turn the left signal on, then turn the bars lock to lock and see if it functions normally. If so, the problem is most likely at the steering stem.

Hope this helps, Dave

You might be able to take advantage of this and build and document an emergency flasher switch/circuit and let us know..
