If I were a betting man, I'd say that it's about an 85 degree angle, not 90, so if you're going to cut/weld it, that's what I'd try to get out of it.

I don't don't have the skills to weld it and would prefer not to.The elbow appears to be chrome plated mild steel and I don't want to get into having it replated.I bought it to bolt right on the way my other V&H did.

Looks more like polished 304 stainless to me, but I've been known to be wrong before.

It's pretty magnetic for Stainless.

Does anybody know what the "non 90" elbow fits?

I think that is for the S1W and 98 S3.

I found that pic I was looking for...you can see the difference in the inlet pipe angle, among other things.
I think when I took the pic I was trying to align the front mounting tabs.

And I think Blks1 is right that the "non-90" is for an S1W...in the pic above, the muffler on the left came off of my 98 S1W.
The muffler on the right came off of my 02 M2. I remember it being pretty much in line front to back, but to my eye the outlet end was noticeably lower. Could have been installed incorrectly by the PO I suppose. I found a brand new Wileyco, took my time mounting and have had zero problems.

Ok this muffler will be back up for sale. Cleaned it up and put new nameplate on it. I will mount on my S1W this weekend to make sure it fits. It definitely fits something or vance and hines wouldn't have made it. I believe Buellish was trying to install on an S2. Not sure though.

I was installing it on an '02 S3T.The S2's don't have the 90 degree elbow like the S2's have.
