I am headed down from Madison Wi. to Dallas the weekend of Nov. 8th.. ish to pick up a bike with a small trailer. So if anybody by chance needs anything brought south let me know. Ive got a cousin in Dallas but if anybody wants to recommend anything to see in that area let me know, thanks.

You couldn't find a Buell in Wisconsin that you liked?

I'd have to say with Tod's knack of finding the unusual - even by Buell standards - bikes that whatever he's going to Dallas to get will be well worth it.

I've been meaning to Email you lately, Tod...

I left Dallas in 2004 so I'm sure a whole lot has changed since then, except the food.
Some of the best restaurants and food you've ever had, mostly because there are so many choices (chains and locals): tex mex, seafood, and of course bbq.

There are several micro breweries around the area: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Microbrewery& find_loc=Dallas%2C+TX
I know a World of Beer opened near SMU this year and I am a fan of their chain that started here in FL.

JKF memorial downtown, Deep Ellum arts district, West End is a nice tourist area, 6 Flags, Ranger's baseball, and even if you don't like the Cowboys their stadium is impressive (from pictures I've seen).

There was always something to do or see in Dallas, just be prepared to drive, a lot and spend if selecting some of the high end places to dine.

Many memories, some clear, some blurred. : )

I accidentally stumbled into this restaurant one evening. I had no idea what it was, it was simply the first place we found after coming in from out of town and working all day at our disaster recovery data center.

About their beer selection:

"Chances are if you’ve seen it in a commercial, we don't serve it."

If you like good beer and good food, don't miss it.

Thanks guys that is exactly what I was looking for, trying some BBQ and other unique gastronomical experiences.
And I wouldn't have to go so far if these damn bikes would have just stayed home, but oh no they had to go and get sold all across the whole country from coast to coast. Its like they were giving them to dealers they likes or something. Yeah they were just giving them away to places that sold a lot of bikes or something. I'll share some pictures when I get to see it, for now I'll just say I wish I knew what shenanigans this bike was involved with on June 10th 1998.
