I picked up my S1W in july and since then have done the following with the help of this forum:

New belt, rockerbox, primary and starter gaskets, rear isolators, steering head bearings, exhaust gaskets and studs, intake seals, crank case seal, bypassed side stand switch

I'm running the belt at 1.00" and the primary chain at .75"

Down the road I plan to do the front isolator, remove the grenade plate, upgrade primary shoe and oil pump drive gear

The bike has a Penske shock, banke frame brace, storz steering damper, x1 shift linkage, mikuni hsr42, race module and race exhaust.

Despite all of the little things I've had to fix this is my favorite bike that I have ever owner (I've owned over 20). I plan to keep if for a while and want it to be reliable. Is there anything that I'm missing?

Belt is way too tight unless you're measuring it with the shock detached and with the swingarm pivoted to it's tightest spot. Tuber belts are supposed to be run "scary loose".

What Phelan said.

I run my S1W belt loose enough that it can touch the swingarm when stationary. Never had any issues in 17 years.
