anyone know off hand what size and thread pitch the rear isolator mount bolts are? JeffC is coming down with his "new" S2 and were installing new plates and isolators and a few other things and I want to make sure I have a tap on hand just in case the threads are buggered up on his bike. since he is driving down I don't want him trapped in the middle of the project with any issues that could be solved by having the correct tool on hand. Mine were fine so I didn't have to worry about it, but I could just see getting neck deep into a project and finding a problem that needs to be solved quickly.

My parts book says 5/8-18 X 3/4" bolts are what attach the isolators. I knew they were fine thread, but had to get to my manual to get the particulars.

The bolts that attach the side plates are 3/8-16 x 1 & 1/2" in case that's what you are referring to.

It's good I read it closely as 'rear isolator mount bolts' could be the bolts that mount the rear isolators, or the bolts for the rear isolator mounts (side plates).

Sorry it took so long,

Thank you, yeah I could have been a tad more clear especially on an S2 with the removable side plates.

Tap ordered, probably wont need it, but better to have the tool and not need it than to be stuck with out it!

Thanks!
