He used mostly the XR type bikes, but would He have done what tuning He needed to do...on a "Tuber"??? Can't say for sure, but to me they look to be in the most commonly used area for mounting number plates. Having the two shocks, with 4 bolts, as opposed to just the one shock, with two bolts, GREATLY enhances your chance of success. If just ONE bolt decides to snap on your single shock....well....OUCH!!! The shock "travel" was probably about the same though!! I didn't know Bubba at times used an S1!!!
