A lady in a Lincoln Town car crashed into me on Monday. She was going slow so I didn't get knocked off. The tail piece was smashed and the bag rack was mangled and pushed into the tire. Her insurance guy is going to look at it today. Will see if he totals it. Its been running perfectly and the gods that run my life frown on that.
Its been a great bike, taken down by a little old lady from Pasadena.

It will be a total unless you fight him on that - you may have to talk to a lawyer.

my condolences.

Seems like pretty minor damage to be totaled, though the frame back there being mangled certainly makes it likely. You should see what the buy-back cost is. Surely you could part it out if you desire, and get more than the buy-back. I call dibs on the right side bag lid and all the locks :P.

Insurance guy says fix it up! He suggested the dealer but I have had some bad experiences with them. I do have some spare parts. Guess I will see what i can get fixed and bolt it up myself.

The insurance man disuaded me from doing the work so I am sending it to a guy I have used in Glendale, RPM Attack. He is very meticulous. Lucky for me I have a spare tail piece and bag rack. He is going to replace the wheel bearings, belt, tire, paint the parts and check the frame. the little old lades insurance will pay for it.
Still looking at the Griso for next year...

Glad you didn't get hurt. Thank that little ol lady for going slow. A Town Car kissing a bike usually has a bad ending...

I was really pissed when I got off the bike, she came up and apologized. I said"thanks for not killing me".

Listen, any day that the wife says get a new bike, and a Guzzi at that, is a good day. One of the nicest looking bikes on the road...And you can leisurely rebuild the S2T.

The S2 has transferred ownership to my mechanic. He will massage the engine to max HP and ride it as a street fighter. It won't be made into a chopper.

I bought a new Moto Guzzi Griso and am enjoying it a lot.

I lived with the S2 for 18 years and am now in the MG club, but I deeply appreciate all the help I have gotten here.

I have a large list of parts from 18 years of hoarding and will put them up in the classified section.

#30 continues and may you all roll on my brothers..
