Just a FYI: M2, I had heard some clunking and then my battery died. I took that magneto off and the head of the bolts that hold the gear on where gone and stuck between the magnets of the magneto. I since got a magneto with 8 bolts off of a sportster and replaced the stator. I read where it was somewhat common for the buells to break the holds on the mag, and that is why HD upgraded the design to have 8 bolts. If your easy on the bike, this probably will not happen, however if your hard on it like, you might want to upgrade to the 8 bolt mag ahead time. |
