So I finally got my vrod headlight in today and it took me about an hour to remove all of the factory components and install the new headlight. I love the look but now it needs the gauges remounted to look more compact and I will be attempting to make a small fairing for the headlight.

Nice looking bike, headlight looks nice.

I really dig the frame/tank insert.

Nice. How is it that some X1 engines have polished fin edges and some don't. Really like that look.

Those look diamond cut, not stock....I have only seen the black or silver heads complete, none with factory polished edges.

I too like the tank inserts, any idea where they came from??

The headlight looks good but needs something.....maybe some black plastidip on the housing?? Make it blend in more. Like the mirrors, same as mine. Corbin looks great too......

On second look there a lot of nice, go-fast bits on there, wonder what cylinders those are, with the sturdy front motor mount I want to believe the bike's at least got XB heads, or a 1250 kit, race pipe, Banke rear-sets... looks like a well set up bike.

I'm also diggin the red on red paint job I missed last night.

How long have you owned the bike E30dean?

Thanks for all of your comments guys. I have had the bike about 2 months only. The banke rear sets were already on it as well as the exhaust, intake, corbin seat and tank inserts. From what I know the engine has original cylinders but the cams have been replaced with "hot" cams according to the original owner. The bike definitely runs and sounds different then most other buells. I dont believe it has xb heads because the oil breathers arent the same as on the xb's.

The dash is made from lexan? Or your flyscreen is? I moved my comments from buell xb here so I'd get email notification. Lol

Looks more finished with the "fly screen"
perhaps paint the chin fairing red...

The dash is made from 16 gauge steel, the flyscreen is from lexan.

Thanks, I had the chin fairing in red but I changed it to black because I liked it that way more.
