My S2 project is nearing completion! I'm down to getting the front fender painted and a few small things, like.... my front brake line and speedo cable are held in place with zip ties. what's the right or correct way to mount these to the fender? if you have a photo avail please send to jolly135 at yahoo, if you have a part number for a special guide or tab, post it please.

thanks!

this thing fires right up every time! cant wait for a long test ride!

I can take some pics for you.

Tip on the speedo drive - before you torque the axle completely, bounce the front end a couple times to let the speedo drive 'angle' itself the way it wants, so the cable doesn't bind inside the sheath. If you try and force it into a certain position...it'll bind, wear, and eventually break.

DAMHIK.

OK, here y'go. Figured I'd post here for mass consumption, in case anyone else needs to make the same runs.

I've never had the front end off my '95, so these should be OEM routes.

Speedo cable at the hub:

According to my book, the wireform is 67368-96Y (starting on '95 S2 VIN 1337 / CA VIN 0052).

Speedo cable routing through the trees (highlighted green):

And the brake hose, just held with two rubber clamps:

thanks!! of course it does point out that I drilled a few holes in my brand new fender for nothing.... the new fairing didn't have any holes but had several indexes in the correct places so I drilled them all to match my current fairing.. two apparently were not required!

There were a couple of different variations for speedo and brake line retention on the S2's, so it's understandable.

For those who use the race header, I would recommend targeting/duplicating the early S3 configuration...
