I want to eventually replace the stock steel swingarm on my S1 with a later model aluminum one. I don't know a lot about the later model tubers other than the X1 (and don't even know much about that one). Which models are compatible for a swap? What do I need to get and do to complete the job properly? It looks like the engine mount block thing has to come with the swingarm. What about the axle (and spacers?) and belt tensioner things? What about the fender and brake? Wanna make sure I get the right version and all the goodies I'll need to get the job done right the first time. Thanks....

the mounting block is nice to have, you will need all the axle adjuster and axle pieces, as well as all the fender/belt guard pieces. should be able to reuse the rear brake parts and wheel.

might as well put in new isolators since it is all apart, unless they are in great condition.

All you need is the swingarm, axle, axle tensioners and fender if wanted everything else is a direct swap and easy to do

99-02 X1/M2/S3 have the swing arms you want.

Drill a hole above the shock eye to let water drain out...

Thanks all, I'll start shopping for what I need. But to be clear, I can reuse my old axle but cannot use my old belt tensioners? And sleez I'm in the process of replacing isolators right now, even though the ones I have in there are still good (bike only has 6k miles).}

The axle is not longer. Just more threads, easily taken up with spacer.
