1999 x1 TPS reset still shows .9 on ECM spy. Backing out idle adjuster doesn't bring it down any more. With the AFV set at 135, TPS reading 1.2, the idle is perfect and bike runs perfect...(!) Map loaded is the stock race ECM. Force pipe and intake installed. should the TPS bounce arounf like this? No intake or exhaust leaks. TPS bounces around about .5 degrees | ||

My TPS reading toggles between 4.7 and 5.1 with a relatively steady idle - as steady as an X1 would ever get. But those values are adjacent in the TPS % scale. You say 1.2, I assume you mean volts not %. As for the reset, you need to visually verify that the butterfly valve is fully closed/seated which may require a bit of disassembling depending on your intake set up. | ||

The AFV seems high, but that may be correct for a race map. And given intake and exhaust mods, the AFV could be what it should be. Were it me, if the bike starts, idles, and runs fine, I wouldn't worry about it. .9v may be what your TPS 'transmits' when it is completely closed. In short, if the bike performs correctly, then those readings are OK for your bike. Hope this helps, Dave |
