How can you tell if the engine and frame numbers match on an S1W?

Bit more to it than that cos the frame number is 17 characters, the engine number is 11 characters.

The engine number comprises:

1st = 4th on frame
2nd = 5th on frame
3rd = 6th on frame
4th = 7th on frame
5th = 10th on frame
6th = 12th on frame
7th = 13th on frame
8th = 14th on frame
9th = 15th on frame
10th = 16th on frame
11th = 17th on frame

Thanks for the help. I figured there was a twist to interpreting/matching the numbers but didn't know what it was.
