well i mentioned i was going to try something with my crank case breathing.
i was going to hook up a hose to timing plug & fit a s&s one way valve. but changed my mind as would throw too much oil out & need a catch can. so i just got two of these little s&s one way valves put one on each hose that comes from my head breather. i had ridden my bike for five hours straight only stopping for gas. fitted then one way valves then test road in city could not notice much. difference then road the five hour straight only stopping to re gas once home. & could notice motor feels smoother at revs & throttle response sharper. i like the feel got a long ride to meet up with a friend on a Ulysses 09 so see how it goes. i had burnt rubber up wall of my tires when i got home love the Bridgstone Battle Ax tires. I mentioned this recently in another similar topic.

Several years ago the Kuryakyn Crank Vents were dyno tested and found to make no increase at all in HP.

I use one in my breather line near to the filter at the end. I'm not convinced it's stopped the puking but I'm thinking it might help. At the very least, I am confident the valve does not allow the puke to be sucked out once puking occurs.

i was not worried about oil out breather. i have oil vented out at rear behind number plate. have not had to top up oil since had heads off and put new valve stem seals & new rings. i think the umbrella valves don't always work.& think cutting some pressure in crank case gets some oil out of the bore & that cuts some drag, just feels a bit sharper throttle response & a bit smoother. so happy with small investment.
