I stored it upside down for a few months and it turned out ok. I currently have the seat upside down a shelf with a weight on the back of it. How easy did you find it to replace the leather. Was it just a case of removing the staples, re-glueing and re-stapling?   Analbeard Posted on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 - 01:41 pm:        Thin leather is needed as I tried it with stuff i thought would take some wear and it just wouldn`t fit right. Took the staples out and used the same length stainless steel ones to replace it , no glue involved. The stapler was a big one and they take some putting in! I think one of my other seats has pop rivets. Will have a rummage through Ebay feedback later. I found riding with no seat cover at all quite comfortable, the thick vinyl cover is what`s the problem. You can find gel inserts online for letting into foam, anyone tried that.
