I've seen the 1250 kits for $699 or even $899 but wouldn't you get your moneys worth buy buying a 88" kit for $1000? Not sure what the cost would be for the case machining but its gotta be worth the dollar to HP/tq ratio.

As far as i can remember they have been on sale for years!! They were still on sale when i bought mine. And i traded a blank XB head to DAN for a fully built XL head that was 300 more due to being fully assembled.

When HammerPerf came out with the big fin cylinders they had a sale of the old style for $599 for a short while. But I think the $699 price has been there for at least 2 or 3 years. I no longer see the option for the Nikasil that NRHS used to have. Revolution Performance has them though.
I plan on doing this kit 'someday'. I'd rather buy the cylinders than have to bore out the cases too, even though 50cc doesn't sound like much of an increase.

It is a noticeable difference.

13 years and counting, American Air Cooled cylinders. First of their type and doubts were raised back then as to their reliability. I've no issues.
