i just put a brand new battery in my bike. I also moved the starter ground to the same grounding post as the neg battery ground (so they are sharing)... my bike now seems to have a harder time starting.... anyone see and issue with what i did?

Battery is a brand new Yuasa High Performance - YTX20HL-BS

That's a lead acid battery.

Did you replace a GEL or AGM battery?

AGM's give a much bigger kick under starting loads than lead acid. GEL not so much but likely better than wet sealed lead acid batteries like the Yuasa.

I can't see how moving the ground would cause this symptom. I'm with Rocket. AGM is the way to go for high displacement bikes like ours. I appreciated electric starter soon after trying to kick-start an older 1-liter Sportster.

If there was only one thing I could get from the Motor Company that would be the battery...
My old one lasted 7 years and I changed it only due to its age.

So it wasn't hard starting before the battery was changed.
Now you did stuff and it's hard to start?

Figure out what "stuff" you did.
Perhaps you sabotaged yourself somehow.
Perhaps your shiny new battery is a block of wood!
