I just got my m2 and the guy I purchased it from had the crank and pistons replaced due to a rod knock 20k miles.

I am seeing some oil burning on near the top of the inside cyclinder. Possible top gasket leakin ?

We would call that the rear cylinder. Don't freak out yet, These engines breathe quite a bit . You may want to check how any breather hoses are routed since you don't have the stock air cleaner. You may just need to add a catch can. If it's just blow by oil from a breather the good news is that that area will be unlikely to rust.
