Have you set your idle to around 4.5 to 5.1 degrees using ECMspy?

You'll need to turn the idle screw in (ECMspy must be on and the "keys" on too) when you set it to that value.

2 different manifolds and used new inlet rubbers with heavy rubber grease as per usual... no change after changing manifold.

to test TPS's I removed the pins from the loom plug and put them into the TPS plugs so I could access the bare contacts.. All 3 TPS's showed corresponding changes in voltage consistant with their position.

I havn't set idle, will do that but the symptoms I'm getting are way more than an idle not set right... they're similar to what we used to get out of the BMW's when the in tank filter was blocked or injectors are blocked and need cleaning... I'm getting what is probably a lean miss that is very similar to an electrical miss. The hunting on the other injectors that improved slightly with an injector change makes me think I need to explore that and ignore the electrical for a while as hunting is most usually a fuel issue.

What sent me down the electrical path is a known electrical issue with this particular bike the TPS and RPM readings showing to start with and then not showing on ECM Spy. that made me think intermittent electrical contact / broken wire and I went down that path but if I take that out of the equation then all the other symptoms can be related directly to fuel.

Put it this way, I'm certainly getting very familiar with the Buell engine management system.. LOL

Lean = exhaust leak(s), intake leak(s), injector o-ring leak(s).

You may want change each set, then move to the next set.

I changed complete manifold with injectors and will change to another one today.. will also check for leaks but lean condition can also be lack of fuel delivery from blocked injectors, blocked filter and low fuel pressure, it's just that intake rubbers are a known weak spot on this engine design.

The symptoms are way more than you would normally get from an intake leak, I've come across quite a few of them.

Keep throwing ideas out... we'll get it sooner or later.

Fuel pressure good.. over 50psi..

Time for an injector / manifold swap for the 3rd one..

Then it's injector test / clean

OK, changed to another set of injectors/manifold/TPS and it's running as it should..

Will need some fine tuning and I'm still not getting an RPM of TPS position reading on ECM Spy... SO that's obviously a sepperate issue and appears it's got nothing to do with the reason it wasn't running right..

Although I did notice that it idled fine and the transition to power was smooth until I did a TPS reset and now it hesitates off idle so I'll check the angle as Two Seasons suggested and maybe adjust with the screw and then reset from there.
