Hoping one of you X1 guys can help me out. I purchased a pair of X1 forks from a fellow Badwebber he was able to provide the below thought for adjustment but did not have direct knowledge if these adjusted the same. could someone tell me if these are correct and I also need the factory sugested settings?

In my S2 owners manual it also has adjustments on the top and bottom of the forks.The bottom adjustment is compression damping,to increase damping you turn the screw clockwise or counterclockwise to decrease compression damping.
On the top of the forks is the rebound damping adjuster,turn it clockwise to increase rebound or counterclockwise to decrease rebound damping.

Thanks again Mike (AKA Buellish)

Ken - What you have described above is partially correct.
According to my X1 Owners Manual, max compression (bottom screw) and max rebound (top screw) settings are when you turn the setting screws all the way clockwise.
The factory settings are as follows:
Rebound = -0.5 turns CCW
Compression = -1.25 turns CCW

Hope this helped.

I have the other settings (2 up, solo firm and solo soft) if needed. I have my '01 set up with solo soft to tame these PA mountains.

I started with the factory settings and made incremental changes until got close to my likings. I have mine set at almost midway between max and factory settings. I think the right way to set up the bike is to tune the front and rear suspensions in concert. It may take a long time and many iterations but it should be possible. Still working on it...

Bryan i could use the solo settings
Mohsen I did the same thing with my other forks and will do it again with these and it takes awhile I try to ride the same road every change so I get an accurate comparison.
I do not think I made it know above but these are going on an S1 that is why I have no instructions.

Solo (soft)- Ft Rebound, 1.5ccw. Ft Comp, MIN.

Have fun.
