Was worth it for the $15. Best part is when I get sick of it I can just peel it off. It's thick so it hid a lot of the nicks. I doubt it will last more than a year though... |

Ha ha! that's great! So now the whole bike feels like a fresh pair of pliers? |

I have plasti dipped 2 bikes. My friend actually runs a business dipping cars for about $500.00-$600.00 each. http://www.dipkings.com/ He orders it in buckets and custom mixes them into weird colors! |

For the bike did you actually dip the parts or use a spray on. I like it, now you've got me thinking about spraying a spare set of bodywork. |

Here is one i did before i sold it. Mine was done with rattle cans of plasti dip. It self levels and you just want lots of light coats. |

What kind of prep do you have to do for that? Any? And how heat resistant is it? I'm thinking about getting my bike line-x'd it's real durable and lasts along time plus it's cheaper then paint and I haven't seen one done before. |

Several truck bed liner bikes around here. They (IMHO) look pretty awful. What works for a truck bed looks pretty bad on a tank. Plasti-dip is removable if you make a mistake or hurt it (it just peels off). It lasts "longer than you would think", but I'd say it can't compare to paint. If you don't mind peeling (PITA) and reapplying once a year it would probably look pretty nice. I had a can laying around that I used to insulate electronics parts and I gave it to my neighbor, he did his trunk bumper with it. It applies easily, removes easily, and looks nice once on. Not sure how it will wear, that was a few months ago, I'll walk over and see how it is wearing. |

Sounds good let me know and I was thinking not so much on the tank but the frame/covers and maybe the wheels idk but the line-x company near me is supposed to do good work idk I've never seen but a friend of mine had his entire wrangler done at one point by them and it looked awsome |

Does it come in different colors? Not sure I like it on the bike but I can think of other applications if it comes in cool funky colors. |

As far as prep work all you do is get the part really clean I washed it with power purple then wiped it down with mineral spirits. |
