S2 attaches to the outer frame rail, before it pinches "in" to the steering neck. The S2 frame is completely different up front. That's what threw me. Just didn't know how exactly. I think it would be cool to do a quick disconnect, for easy on/off. And attaching at the steering stem would provide that. The information is much appreciated. It looks like the M2, S3 and X1 all have the same arrangement up front for the fairing mount lugs. I should have the S2 going later on this week if all goes well.
