Ok, did a search and saw thread going back to 2005, and didn't see anything. So can an S3 fairing be easily mated to an S1?

You would have to weld mounting tabs onto the steering head to mount the fairing bracket.

It wouldn't surprise me if the S2 spacing is the same as the S3. Let me know if you need me to measure the tabs on my X1.

S2 is completely different.

S3 attaches at the steering neck.

S2 attaches to the outer frame rail, before it pinches "in" to the steering neck. Nearly the widest point in the tank.

Too bad, I was hoping he could use his S2 as a template.

Yeah, I knew they were different. The S2 frame is completely different up front. That's what threw me. Just didn't know how exactly.

I think it would be cool to do a quick disconnect, for easy on/off. And attaching at the steering stem would provide that.

The information is much appreciated. Thank you again to all!

The S2 Frame is completely different.

Up front, In back, down low and up high.

I love the S2!

LOL I realized the S2 frame is different from the first day I bought one home!

Have never seen an S3 frame though.

That'll teach me not to go out to the garage.
It looks like the M2, S3 and X1 all have the same arrangement up front for the fairing mount lugs.
I should have the S2 going later on this week if all goes well.
