You can bypass the lock.
Detach cable from lock.
1/8" drill bit through plastic tray, poke the cable end through.
Pull to open latch

Exactly how I did mine, I had the factory under tail, chopped off the back license plate section and mounted the plate to hide it, ran a cable out the front hidden under the battery so know one knows.
