If I were to swap all the parts from my S1 frame over to a M2 frame what issues of fitment might I encounter? Header? Triple tree or stem? | ||

Tail piece won't fit without modifying the M2 frame, header won't work, not sure exactly what else, I think the oil bag is different too, just little things otherwise all would switch. Why do you want to do this? | ||

I would make a custom tail . Why well I have an M 2 frame here and i have some customizing I want to do to the tail etc so I would doit on that frame and not mess up the original. | ||

supposedly they are swappable one way or the other, but not both??? and i never remember which way!! i think the newer headers won't work on older frames, but the old headers may work on newer frames...???? | ||

I think that you remembered correctly - old headers will work okay with the later frames, 99-on headers won't work with the old frames as they'll hit the frame. In other words, what he has should work okay. |
