Not a Buell frame, therefore not a "tuber" (IMHO). Looks like XB guts in a "Euro" frame of some sort.

Pretty neat-o though. Interesting underslung gas tank...

Wowee wow! Looks pretty awesome.

I wonder how it does with the total lack of a muffler (no back pressure whatsoever)?

Fuel has to go somewhere. No more frame/tank. I like it more each time I look at it. Talented builder.

Clever engineering...horrible application unfortunately.
More show then go yet again.
In my opinion of course. ; )

Craftsmanship, very nice.

Exhaust...right foot cooker.

And not sure I'd want my fuel tank to be my skidplate...

Definitely appears built for show, not go.

That fuel tank will vibrate like crazy and probably leak in no time.

I know of a professionally built Buell tube framed race bike that had the oil tank underslung in the belly pan in the same position as this. It lasted less than 5 laps at Donington before the tank split and deposited the whole tank full on track : (

at first glance, pretty cool, but after looking at all the bits, not so much.
At least no one complained yet about 'chopped-up' Buells... if this is one.

"if this is one."
i dont see how it isnt - using mostly Buell components, scrapping the frame - really no different than the choppers

True statement Hybrid. At least he didn't scrap a true "tuber".

...No offense to the XB folks, there's just a lot more XB's, over 68,000 Units in just the air cooled models alone, compared to around 33,000 tubers...

What causes XBs to get totaled? Dented fuel tanks/frames. Who's to say this bike wasn't totaled when he started? If everything is good but the frame, build a new frame. I like it. But...he's rigidly mounted the frame to the engine. That's not a good idea.

"What causes XBs to get totaled? Dented fuel tanks/frames. Who's to say this bike wasn't totaled when he started?"

more need to remember that each time they see any buell based chopper/bobber/whatever
really dont know what the history of it was, if it was wrecked or what before someone tore it apart

I like the frame ,only with a s1 style tail it looks much better!

And what Hootowl said ,look at the front engine to frame mounting
that will not last very long.

I can't tell whether he's got the other side of the head attached. If it's just the one tab holding up the engine, it won't last long at all, even discounting vibration.

if you have facebook and can look at his albums there you will see the front motor mount tabs do go to both sides of the head. and also you will see the progression of the build and that this is no hack job that may or may not vibrate itself to pieces....very nicely done!

Intersting. Good idea. Shame he bent the frame so wide.

And he molded a ducati 749 tank as an airbox. Clever.

Sure it mildy resembles a 749/999, but go have a look at the full build pics....not "molded" after anything in particular.
