Ok so I have a 2000 M2 Frame. My original thought was customizing the seat area and using the xb swingarm and droping all my S1 parts onto it.
Well the wife asked me today when I am going to start getting parts for my new build I looked at her and said what do you mean and she said for your second bike!!!!!
Well you guys might kill me but I think it will be a trike. I have severe nerve damage in my left leg as I sit here currenly I can not move or feel it and it is getting worse so thinking towards the future it would work for me.
Any thoughts

go for it - its your frame who cares what anyone else thinks. I was thinking about getting a trike now, too for the day when my back and knees go bad for good. I have a friend who is selling his electra because he can't hold it up any more, he didn't plan ahead and now will be without a scoot for a while....

Go for it, beats sittin in a tin top... although I'm thinking a BMW M3 might put a decent smile on my dial in my fave twisties : )

I like the convertable vette but still does not beat the cycle.

M2 / S1 mutant with a side car. Skip the XB arm.

Ride a trike first. They are a VERY different animal...make sure you're OK with their ride and handling characteristics before you commit to a build.

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for it. I spent six months not being able to walk, five years ago. I know where your head is right now, and I completely understand. Just...ride one first and make sure you're OK with the whole package first. Don't ride a Spyder...ride a trike, built the way you'll build one (presumably a solid rear axle setup), and ride it the way you'll ride yours.

I'd love to say I'll go trike when I can't do 2 wheels anymore...but I suspect it'll be more convertible for me. Maybe Ariel Atom, hehe...

I'm with Rat on this one.

Trikes look cool but they scare me.

An Ariel Atom....now that's a machine for me.

My significant other saw one and suggested that, when we can't ride anymore, maybe we should sell the bikes and get an Ariel.

I agreed with her immediately!

another option for restricted stability is a sidecar. great fun and very practical. When I broke my leg badly I started putting a sidecar together to go on the sporty so I could still get around and then found I could get on and off from the right hand side off my good leg, so I didn't need it.

There are a few buells on the google with side cars.
I seen that white s2 thats not my style I do not like a trike that looks like the bike with two rear wheels to kit looking but many do
The Ariel Atom is awesome be nice if it had 1 rear wheel

my buddy had a t-rex for a few years... insanely fun!!!

Saw an orange t-rex go by the house yesterday with a group of harleys.

The salesman down the street from me at the ford dealer has a Ariel, also very cool.
