Hello All,

1700 km into a new bike and I have my first problem. It is hard to start...actually I cant start it again.it will back fire which seems to indicate to me that there is an excess of unburnt fuel then it will ignite going boom. I can smell fuel. Where do I start for trouble shooting?

Prior to this it ran great the only thing that I've done since it started to act up was wash it. I didnt use high pressure water either. It has run sufficiently to disperse any accumulated water.

Could someone walk me through this?

Thanks Dave

check the wiring on your vacuum controlled electronic switch. It helps control your timing. mine had the wire broke off and carb farted all the time until i fixed it.
