Now that I have ecmdroid working, I'm doing more logging. Today I rode for a few hours and checked the temp of the bike when I got off and it was at 192°. It was a relatively cool day and I was on a fast moving highway the whole time, so I'll be surprised if this is too hot, but I'd like to know the ballpark danger zone(s) as I log more and the weather warms up.

Once you've got the android filesystem open (either by plugging into laptop or via a file browser app) go to /sdcard/Android/data/org.ecmdroid/ and it should be in a folder there.

Also, don't forget to check the box on the logging page in ecmspy to convert to the MSL(?) format if you're using Mega Log Viewer.

I've measured the head temp using a temp gun on several occasions and the highest reading was 170C. I point the gun right at the sensor with the bike idling after a long drive. On most occasions it reads between 160C-165C. The 170C was with the outside temp well over 90F.

Are you using a cable or a bluetooth adapter to get at the data?

I've done a bunch of logging, but with a tankbag, netbook and usb cable. pretty cumbersome.

If you are using a bluetooth adapter , did you built it? Pretty easy?

There's some info in this thread on UKBeg about making your own bluetooth dongle.

I took the easy route and ordered a dongle from Xopti – I haven't been able to use it a ton yet, but it seems to work pretty well.
