the Force front mount might not last long. I've been rewelding mine for the last 3 years. I finally got tired of fixing it so I doubled it with stainless steel plates and tubing.

So I have a 29 tooth front pulley...And I have a 65 rear from the XB.
The 135 uly belt is too long. The 128 is too short. looking at a 132 belt from an 06 Dyna... any one experience this ratio of 29/65 Is this going to be to much of a wheelie machine with this ratio?

Some figures from UKBEG site on ratio's:

A = 29 TOOTH B = 55 TOOTH
This is the "normal" UK spec and gives an overall gear ratio of 3.034.
Top gear - 24.02 mph/l000 rpm giving a theoretical top speed of 163 mph at 6800 rpm.
Fourth gear - 20.36 mph/1000 rpm - maximum speed 138 mph.
Third gear - 16.80 mph/1000 rpm - maximum speed 114 mph.
Second gear - 12.19 mph/l000 rpm - maximum speed 83 mph.
First gear - 8.93 mph/1000 rpm - maximum speed 61 mph.
At 80 mph in top gear the engine is running at 3300 rpm.

A = 29 TOOTH B = 61 TOOTH
This is the UK engine sprocket with the US rear wheel sprocket to give an overall gear ratio of 3.366.
Top gear - 21.66 mph/l000 rpm giving a theoretical top speed of 147 mph at 6800 rpm.
Fourth gear - 18.36 mph/1000 rpm - maximum speed 125 mph.
Third gear - 15.15 mph/l000 rpm - maximum speed 103 mph.
Second gear - 11.00 mph/l000 rpm - maximum speed 75 mph.
First gear - 8.05 mph/l000 rpm - maximum speed 55 mph.
At 80 mph in top gear the engine is running at 3700 rpm.

Id say it's going to be a crazy wheelie machine, and whether or not it will be too high RPM at 65-70mph will be up to you. Chain conversion would be an easy but $$$ solution.

I do have front sprocket for a chain conversion...Its a 530 23 tooth PBI sprocket... All I need is a rear sprocket from Vortex. This is looking to be a better option.
Top speed with this will suffer. a 132 belt for an 06 dyna is about $180. I know i can go chain for the same amount if not less.

So you're staying w/the 29/65 combo?

Did you figure out a belt?

I was planning to run this combo as well cause I thought it was pretty close to the my stock 27/61 setup.

So I installed my vrod headlight...now my rear turnsignals only work if my headlight isnt hooked up...Am I missing something from re wiring from a H4 bulb to a H9 and H11 high/low beam...
Now when I plug in just my low beam,hit turn signals no signals in rear. with the HIGH beam UNPLUGED from the light and switched to high beam my rear turn signals work... I have disconnected the front turn signals. no matter what combo i do up front led or stock the rear only works when the vrod headlight isnt plugged in... any guesses on wtf is going on here?

I have the motodynamic taillight/turnsignal

Is the battery fully charged? I have 4 of these motodynamic lights and what I have found while wiring and testing is that it will work very sporadically if the battery is weak. put a trickle charger on and see if that helps with trouble shooting.

Battery could use a good charge. Going to do that and try again. Got it out of the living room today and a sketchy uphill narrow push on grass and gravel to its next place. Time for Fuel,Oil and Test Ride

Great pair you have there! I always prefer an S1 to an X1 in the looks department, but if yours had the S1ish seat/subframe unit from speed-of-color.de I would change my mind no doubt!!

that REALLY looks nice!! well done!

on the light, yeah you should have seen the trouble shooting I went through...pig tail connect the light without installing just to check to ensure I had the wires routed right and it would work....take some time wire it up and ...nothing...sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldnt, move one wire and bingo it would work, then it wouldnt...msut have trouble shot for hours...well a few beers anyway...then I started thinking that with all of this on and off business I ought to put a charger on it..and that fixed it....I was trouble shooting an intermittent problem that made absolutely no sense, only to come to the conclusion my battery was a little weak and causing the issue. this was not limited to the Buell S1 or the X1, I had the same issue when installing it on the moto guzzi....these things like a good battery when wiring and functional checking...they work great though, have had my first one for a few years and not one issue with cracking or L.E.Ds failing.
