Hey all, I have a 99 cyclone, and a chance to buy a 00 or 01 x1 with a broken crankshaft, among other issues. It would take a lot of money to make this bike nice again so I'm thinking about buying it for a parts bike. I know there are some parts that interchange between them, but is there anything that I can use from the x1 to make my cyclone better, other than the forks and cam?

Shock, header, gauges, muffler +++++ loads of parts.

If I were in your shoes I'd be stripping it totally & selling stuff that wasn't compatible, eg wiring loom ecm fuel pump, tank, frame seat.

Thanks. Are there alot of parts on the x1 that will make my bike perform better? Or is it mostly the same but with fuel injection?

You could swap the forks and clamps.

You could also swap your M2 engine INTO the X1 : )
