I've got so many bikes that it's hard to keep track but, that doesn't make sense. I've had luck using a Q-tip with some metal polish on it to semi-restore a dirty or worn seat. Push it down the hole and twist it against the seat. A little work and everything was perfectly shiny and clean down there. Both are great when set up correctly. If you want smooth power the CV shines but if you want instant response the HSR 42 is supreme. Both make good power with a stock motor. Also what Dave says is spot on, I'm running the Mikuni at the moment as I'm only mucking about in the mountains at the moment, but the CV is a little easier to live with on a long trip. Getting a Mikuni The "new" CV carbs are copies made in China.
