Ceramic coat is the way to go, These guys are local: http://www.austinpowdercoating.com/Ceramic_Coating s.html or someone on here recently shipped theirs off to Jet Hot for a couple hundred bucks.

They quoted me around $200 to ceramic coat the pipes down to the muffler. What did the Jet Hot folks charge? They look great!

Nitroplate is the local ceramic place here locally. Mine are due back tomorrow and the cost was 135.00

Nitroplate has a great reputation and their product is similar to Jet Hot, but because they use different suppliers there are minor differences you will likely never see. They warranty their work and will recoat if the customer isn't satisfied for the first 3 years.

I would imagine most major cities have a similar ceramics coating company. Finding it local can save a bundle on shipping and can help to keep time frames shorter.

I am really looking forward to finishing the Buell and getting back to riding it. I like my sportster, but my Buell is still effin' awesome.

It was right at $200.00 ceramic coated inside and out. Shipping wasn't bad under $30.00, but if you can find it local then it's good.

If you blast them with light media and then rub them down with red Scotchbrite, they will look like new. It won't last forever, but it does maintain the factory finish.
