Hey guys, me again with all the questions lol. Love this forum btw and your response times are fantastic.

I'm 5'4" and 130lbs..needless to say the X1 is way too tall for me to maneuver in parking lots and ANY incline by foot lol.

That said, what handlebars or clipons do I need to get (links would be great) that would allow me to lower the forks about 2"?

I'd really hate to upset my geometry too much but worried about safety more.

Thanks!

Get a riser clamp. It will raise the bars in relation to your seat, but you can roll them back to compensate.

I would also get an M2L (low) rear shock and mount, so your front end and back end are lowered equally.

Another option, try having a local upholstery shop narrow your seat - not "lower", but NARROW. That will allow your knees to get closer together, effectively lowering the bike for you to maneuver because your legs won't be going out-and-down, but will simply go "down".

How high of a riser should I go? Is 2" riser too much?

You'll have to see how much travel you have on your cables and brake line. I know folks on the Ulysses have gone 2" with only a re-route on a brake hose...

I don't even have to open the link...if it says Harley, it will NOT work.

HD's use 1" diameter bars.

Buells use 7/8" bars, same as most sportbikes.

(I say "Buells" - specifically anything built AFTER an S2).

2.5" (which I think would be too much):

Oh ok.

I was thinking 1.5" minimum, 2" preferred. And for whatever reason every time "I" look on americansportbkike I can't ever find the risers lol.

What about rear shock mounts? I have the updated 14.6" shock. From what I've read I just need a different front mount. Where can I get one?

I may just do a 1" riser which will allow me to lower the front 1.5" and do the rear 1.5-2".
