Occasionally my engine light will come on for a few second and then go off. The first time it happened, I pulled the bike over to check the oil. Oil was fine, it running great. I started it back up and rode another 20 miles with no light. Just happened again? Any help? possible issues? Thanks

Check your battery posts for tightness.

10mm wrench/socket needed.

Short that communication wire and count the flashes to "ask" it what it thinks is wrong.

Were you riding fast or slow? Mine will do that if you're in slow traffic for a while, right before it starts skip sparking. Get up to speed and cool the engine.

Yeah, that makes sense if you got stuck in traffic and it went into skip spark. Your ECM tells the back cylinder to fire...fire...fire...skip so the rear cylinder will start cooling.

I've run into that in Chicago. If it's been real hot in your area lately, this could be what you experienced with the CEL coming on.
