I found this on ebay and wonderred if it's the real McCoy? It would've saved me a 700 mile round-trip if I'd had one this week.

Sure they work. They short the right pins together so that your trouble light blinks the error code out. And it comes with a small chart that tells you what the blink/ error code is. You can do the same thing with some clips and a manual, but this is a lot easier and more portable.

hope it's not too late but; look on UKBEG site, I recall tat they hada simple diagram & code interpretation list there some time back.
