Twin Motorcycles Tuber Shock

We've been asked to do a group buy for the Twin Motorcycles Tuber Shocks. We will structure the group buy the same as was done recently with the 1125 Intake Stacks Group Buy.

Here's links to the products on our site:

http://www.5-0dro.com/index.php/buell/buell-s1/twin-motorcycles-tube-rear-shock-38-detail

http://www.5-0dro.com/index.php/buell/buell-s1/twin-motorcycles-tube-rear-shock-42-detail

We can offer these for only $725 Shipped to your door!(Normally $796.67. Cont. US only...International will be $30 more) for 10 or more orders. Here's how it will be structured:

*If you want to be in, Copy the list below into a new post with your name & desired shock length (ie. 1 - 50dro etc. – 38cm)

*Once the list reaches 10 or more of both sizes combined (I'll be posting this elsewhere also to help get there) we will release a coupon code for the discount. If it doesn’t reach 10 within a reasonable amount of time (around 2 weeks) the group buy will be canceled.

*Once we’ve reached 10 or more interested, you'll be given a 2 week period to place your order on our site.

*We will then place our order through Twin Motorcycles for the parts.

*If the 10 or more people don't come through with payment you will be given a full refund or the option to pay the regular price.

*Note – Twin Motorcycles will need some time to build these shocks to cover the group buy so please expect shipment to 5-0dro 1-2 weeks after we place our order plus another week or so for shipment to 5-0dro then 2-5 days to your door after that. We will be sure to communicate this.

*Other TM or 5-0dro products can be added to your order as normal.

Thanks for your participation!

This is nice of you to do this, However just my opinion I can't speak for the rest of the folks here. I find it hard to justify That amount of money for a motorcycle that may only bring $3,000 dollars if you have to sell it. I am in no way saying they are not worth the money just my opinion. If I had not already spent sooo much money on my rebuild I would love to have one of these.
I do not know of other shock options at this point that are cheaper though.
I hope you find 10 people who can do this though. Don't give up yet..

I can't argue that. There were several people on the other thread about the shocks that indicated they'd be interested in the group buy so we put one together. I hope it does well too but if it doesn't then it wasn't meant to be. ; ) Thanks!

s1owner, my stock x1 shock measures 14.8 or .9 depending on how accurate you measure from center of eye to eye. i think there might be sn issue with the lengths posted up top. i ordered the short version same as the 01 x1 had and it fit perfect, and even raised the tail section a little bit due to the length adjustment previously posted in my thread that i started, i believe that the shock is length adjusted by .40 in either direction.

50dro not a problem, i love the few miles that i have on the shock, i live here in eastern pa in bumble f**k and the roads are horrible with all sorts of holes and frost heaves now that i fixed my bike( broke down while testing) see previous thread i started and when the weather gets better i will give a good honest opinion on what i think of it. Trust me i will beat the shock to death around here rippiung on the bs back roads and the tight corners.

Yeah I need a new shock for the X1 Build. I have a Works on the S1 and its great. want to try something else for the X1. I was going to wait till the end of the month for the Twins shock giveaway. Competition is tough out there. So here we go.
Who else is in? you got 4 weeks to cough up the coin.
You know you need a new one

I am struggling to understand what makes Twin Motorcycles a suspension expert. People pay a lot of money for Ohlins, AST, White Power etc. in Europe, but they have a pedigree. Twin Motorcycles 'want to keep Buell alive', but for something that has no pedigree, you are taking a huge risk of pouring your hard earned $ down the drain.

Go to the Knowledge Vault and check how many recalls there were with the Buell shocks... And they were produced by suspension specialists, showing that even with their knowledge, things CAN go wrong, potentially putting your life at risk.

Dynosaur, I would completly agree with you about this when I knew as much as you.

Only twin motorcycles searches before they build there products always for the best partners in the world. We visit the owners of these companys, explain them our goals and see if they can help us. Our brake disc we developed are made by Galfer exclusivly for twin motorcycles. Our suspension products are made by the old people from technoflex exclusivly for us, our exhaust systems are build by bos exclusivly for us. All these companys are financeally strong and reliable. All the rights of the products belong to Twin Motorcycles. My only daily task Inside twin motorcycles is finding the right suppliers.

Twin motorcycles let all there parts been build by the partners that fits the best in our needs. We are not able at all to make th parts ourself for the reason that there are not that many customers around the world. We do know if we dont try to do this we all have a problem in 6 years.

We are going to make all belts and pullys as well and all clutch an throttle cables as well. We have a strong and relaiable partner network in the world in different continents that helps us with our goals to make reliable parts.

So I understand your concern I hope this clarify it. We keep on making parts. And soon you can find all the buell parts oem online to on our website. We work hard to make a new Interface that uses the workshop manual structure so you can find parts based on model, year and category.

Bump!!! This isn't looking too promising for the group buy at this point. Only one person signed up. : (

If you want to get in on this group buy please get on the list. We will cancel (or postpone) it after the end of March should we not have 10 interested customers.

Thank you!

It's still a lot of money to drop on a part that may not be needed. I want one, I don't need one yet so I can't justify the cost yet... I don't make 80k a year do $800 for something that I don't need is a lot of $$$. It's likely there are many of us on that position.

If you ride at all you will blow your showa. I blew 2 shocks. Its just the way these go. I dont make 80k a year...what does that have to do with buying a $800 shock? If you want something enough you will stop making exscuses and make it happen. I sold all my spare carbon parts to plate my frame. I cut out fast food and morning coffee. Im now 300 away from 800 for my shock fund. I love riding and i can justify this purchase way more then my nickle frame

I'm still interested, just suddenly hit a brick wall on close to a thousand bucks. I've got way too many irons heating up in the fire right now. still trying to figure out where to get the extra cash and get on the list.

I see all your points. I'm not going to get in an argument on what these are worth though. Several people showed interest so we responded to try to help you out on the price. It doesn't appear that our original plan will work out at this time though. We'll give it through the weekend in case there's a miracle and 9 others step up to the plate. Otherwise, contact me directly in April and we'll see what we can do to save you a few bucks off (not as much as the group buy obviously) the price if you're still interested. Maybe we can try the group buy again at a later time? Thanks!

Well...Looks like this group buy is off for now. : ( If interest comes back at a later date, we will consider trying it again.

serialk, Jolly or anyone else that is interested in the near term, please contact us directly and we'll see what we can do to hook you up! Thanks for trying!
