Ive got a billet set from ebay that wont push in....the claim was that with the lack of exact tolerances from Buell that they had to make them a size that would fit all bikes so they are tight on some and loose on others. their recommendation was to buy thinner or thicker o-rings..

well if they are the same as the ones i bought from american torque all i had to do was bend a few of the arms out like 4 or so in a cross patter if you bend too many outwards it doesnt work. They stayed in for the remainder of last years riding season. (put in august.)

I purchased the eBay billet type. Ended up using a smaller o-ring size out of a Harbor Freight o-ring kit. A little white lithe and they popped right it.

Just resent it... Anyway all I said was to pm me with your mailing address and I will drop a couple of the o-rings that I used with the same plugs in the mail. Hopefully they will work on your X1 like they worked on my S1..

No, prob, I got your PM and went to email you back. Then I realized we are talking about two different plugs. I chucked the American Torque plugs I bought in the trash and purchased a set of these..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-Aluminum-Frame-Plugs-Fits-Tubed-framed-Buells-M2-S1-X1-/221205861086?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3380e592de&vxp=mtr

They worked great, but I had to use smaller o-rings...and that is what I was talking about!

Here is picture on my bike..

As Peter Griffin once said "I'm so stupid..."

Sorry about the confusion.
