After speaking to all of the local harley dealerships about information about the flow rate of the fuel injectors used on the tube frames, I began to wonder about the actual manufacturer of the injector itself and what else the injector is common with. From digging through the Knowledge Vault and only finding there's a connection with Fords I went a little further - by visual inspection only, the MP2073 injector used on the smaller displacement Fords (Focus, Contour, Escort, Escape, Cougar...) seem to look pretty similar to the Buell's. Now, I know this is only visual, and is not in any way representative of the flow characteristics of the ones used in Buells, but does anyone think I'm barking up the right tree here? Side-related: anyone on this board know of the stock injector's lbs/hr flow rate? |

Most the electronics seem to be from late 90 early 00 fords, I generally find matches with mustangs so maybe a small mustang engine injector. I assume a v6 was available maybe an I4. Just guessing that the V8 would be too much fuel. Have you found any part numbers on the injector or makers marks? |

I've been looking for the paper with the flow rates from when my injectors were cleaned, but so far it has eluded me. If I find it, I'll post the flow rates up. |

I believe the TPS is a crossover to the 5.0L Mustang FI motor; early 90's? Since the cyl capacity of a 1200 Buell is 601.5cc, and the capacity of one cyl of a 5.0L V-8 is 625cc, the Mustang V-8 injector may be applicable. Don't know about the connectors, though .....
