I bought 2000 S3 for Xmas. I was told it had a "racekit" air filter with the Venturi Ring and no snorkel with a K&N filter. The ECM has "race use only" and its got a header with no name. Was this a "kit" sold by Buell? Any thoughts on the header? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Patrick

If the pipes run down the front and fold under the motor before they meet, that is a race header Patrick. Like this:

And yes it was a kit sold by Buell.

The race kit was a carbon fiber "ham can" (oval) air cleaner; the "race only" ECM; the 2.5" equal length header with rear facing outlet; and the re-packable muffler to match.
