Author Message   Dmac Posted on Tuesday, January 08, 2013 - 03:17 pm:        Bought an S&S kit to convert my X1 to carb.If someone has done this please tell me what you used for throttle and cables.Stock wont work and I don't want to use a 1" handle bar .Is there another option?   Cyclonecharlie Posted on Tuesday, January 08, 2013 - 03:50 pm:        Just use your stock throttle and one cable. The pull is shorter so you will have to either make an extender or cut the end and re-solder. Or you can get a 7/8 universal single throttle and cable,all kinds of ways to get there.   Jeffb Posted on Thursday, January 10, 2013 - 08:20 am:        You need a throttle grip and switch assembly from a 1996-1998 bike and S&S throttle cables for that application. These are getting hard to find, but still pop up on Ebay. They have all yellow switches.
