Author Message   Johnyrush Posted on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 - 12:12 am:        I would like to replace my stock stator on my 2002 X1 with one that will produce more amps. I have been looking and looking. One store will tell me one thing and another something else. What would be the replacement model #? What else might have to be changed along with the stator? I live in Utah and am wanting to run heated gear with no problem. Gloves, jacket, on S1W... no issues. Install a kuryakyn voltmeter if you haven't already, and ride. I'm willing to bet you'll be fine. The tuber charging system is STOUT. The XB system, equally stout (my Uly runs heated grips, gloves, jacket, and aux lights on a regular basis...and has the ORIGINAL battery from '06 still in it, with nearly 30k miles!). I always unplug/turn off 5 or so minutes from my destination just because I've read it seemed a good practice. Give the charging system a chance to run less laden.
