I've settled with the insurance company and am keeping my S2. While the damage seems to be cosmetic (turn signals, paint, shifter lever, etc) I am not going to rebuild it. I may part it out but I think I'd rather sell it whole to someone in the community, especially if I knew that they were interested in restoring it. Any advice either way is appreciated.

Definitely let someone here save it! Pics and price will help.

Let it sit for a bit.

You'll miss it.

I suspect a rebuild is in the future : )

Gentlemen - Thanks for the feedback. I am going to sit on it, though I am still leaning toward selling it. Unfortunately family is completely freaked out and asking me not to ride for a while (okay, not to ride ever again) mostly because I got hit again this past week. This time in my truck, again by someone running a stop sign. I am okay, truck is not so good. Anyway, I will think about the restore and, in the meantime, will post a link to a bunch of photos of the bike.

Bill,
I'm sure there is someone here that will take if if you really want to sell it.
I'd seriously consider it if you weren't so far away.

Brad

Brad, You should buy my S2, its up for sale...
I'd like to see it go to a good home, and I could deliver, or meet halfway ; )

Do you know how dead I'd be if I brought another motorcycle home?
Jan already calls me a bike hoarder.

Plus, she doesn't know about the Norton Commando.....
