Well took my stock 00 M2 to the track, this bike has lighting ignition module Carbon air cleaner kit stock 2" collector Sport muffler ( 2" to match ) cv44 manifold bob wood 43.5 carb.
standing quarter trap speed was 103mph half track speed was 84mph. the bike weight on track scales was 469 pound. i shifted below 6,000 .
the motor is stock never had heads off. 76,000k ( kilometers )
i'm thinking i'll pull heads see what it looks like inside.
just want to get speed up to about 112mph ( 1/4 mile )
want to stay with stock cams as i like the low end Torque.
i'm thinking about welding the heads to make bath tub chamber, welding the exhast port to try to increase Torque, changing valves for black diamond but keeping stock valve sizes, then machining bottom of barrels to bring pistons up to close the swish band to about 40 thou. i'll change ignition for an adjustable system where i can change timing & timing curve. what i'm after is Torque .
what do others think?
