Does anyone have a guesstimate on what jets for a M2 with an hsr42 carb, race intake, and the v&h ssr2 muffler? Swapping the carbs and wanted to make sure I put the right jets in (or close) before I install it.

Thanks,
Spencer

stock(thunderstorm) heads? stock M2 cams? By race intake do you mean the Pro-Series cf ham can with the deep filter? Is the Mik the Buell specific item?

The Mik should be about right, right outta the box.

My S1 with the following:
-stage 2 XB heads
-1250 kitted
-Pro-series ham can
-early race header
-supertrapp muff
-stock intake
-stock S1 cams
-hrs42

I did not touch the carb, outta the box and hung it. On the dyno the sniffer looked like the the bike was fuel injected.

Yes the pro-series cf ham can with the deep filter and yes it is the HSR42 Buell Easy Kit, 99 M2 thunderstorm heads, stock M2 cams.

Thanks for the help Loki, Ill just throw her on there and see how it does without fooling with it first.

Thanks,
Spencer

I'd be trying around a 152 - 155 main, 97 needle and a 25 pilot.

I found they were a good starting point for most bikes including Sporties, Dynas and Softails at sea level with a temp around the 85f and hummidities around 50-75%

if you're at altitude you may wish to lean it off a bit and if it's colder then you may wish to richen it a bit.

It also depends a bit on your fuel type but at least that'll give you a starting point

Spencer,
I'm running a 165mj and 20sj at the beach in SC. These are sweet carburetors.

as an aside.

That combo up there put down a respectable 107hp at the wheel. Once up on the cams, the trq never drops below 92ft lbs until 6500 rpm
