Doing a fly n ride to pick up an '01 S3T at the end of the month. Hoping to get the GPS installed before I make the 1500 mile return trip. Playing with using the RAM mount that comes off one of the handlebar clamp bolts - anybody know the size of those bolts?
Thanks.

So where are you flying to and where are you riding back to?

If nobody beats me to it I'll take a look at mine tonight when I get home.

Thanks for the help, guys. I like the XB mount arrangement - it's very unobtrusive.

I've bought the 2001 S3T (pics below) in Grand Junction - flying there from Ketchikan and riding it back to Bellingham, WA to catch the Alaska Marine Highway ferry back home. Gonna spend a week covering what otherwise should be a 1200-1300 mile scoot. Looking forward to some "helmet time."

That is one gorgeous bike. I saw it on Craigslist. Don't screw with ANYTHING. It's perfect like it is and sounds like you have a nice trip ahead of you. The S3 is an awesome sport touring mount.

It was my plan to find one that was unmolested that I would ride, but plan to keep. Only mod on this one is the Penske. My X1 is the same way - just the muffler was swapped out.
