I search and read some old discussions about turn signal relay and not sure if my problem is applicable.

I disassembled both left front/rear turn signals just to inspect the mounts because am thinking of replacing with LEDs. All I did was disconnect the connections to the bulbs. Not the bullet connectors. But the small blades behind the bulbs.

While the connectors were bare, as in no bulbs attached, I turned on the signals because I wanted to see/hear the flash rate. I got the expected clicks, the right turn signals flashed, the tail light blinked, then everything stopped.

And the turn signals stopped working since.

I reconnected the bulbs. The wiring diagram in the manual helped a bit. But no matter how I swapped the bulbs' connections around, I have no turn signals. Brake light works. The only disconnected bulbs were the lefts.

For the front left, the wire colors are: light blue and dark blue.

For the rear left, the wire colors are: dark blue and red/black.

Matches what the book said. But now there is no turn signal operation. I found the flasher relay and it is the black cube version. So not sure if I should pick up 68729-96YA or the newer Z1019.F tomorrow.

Just curious if activating the turn signals without the bulbs attached borked up the relay.

You probably popped the fuse. Exposed ends not attached to anything most likely touched each other, and shorted out.

Electrician 101: NEVER turn on a circuit with exposed contacts/wires/connectors.

Which fuse is that? According to the manual, there is only one fuse for all the 'Lights'. Or is it the 'Accessories' fuse? All the lights works. Anyway, am in the process of switching back to dayshift so have not investigate further today yet.

Update...

All bulbs and fuses checked good. Got the Tridon EP36 flasher relay from Autozone and that fixed. Swapped the old relay back in and no worky. The Tridon EP36 relay does not have the metal tab like the Guilera 72289 so I zip tied it to the wire bundle nearby. The flash rate seems to be the same. Tore off the Tridon label and saved it in the manual for future reference.

The changeover to LED is done. Guess it was just bad luck that the original Guilera flasher relay failed at the same I was checking out the lights. The Tridon EP36 worked as a replacement for the Guilera. The Tridon EP34 was installed and for the LEDs. The EP28 seems to be the equivalent for the EP34 with only the blade connectors size difference.
